Before our return we'll stop at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens for a

Allow us to take you on a breath taking journey through the
Winelands of the Cape. Witness the winemaking process from the vineyard to the

City/Table Mountain/ Robben Island Day Tour

Join us for a Full Day Orientation Tour of the Mother City as we
venture through the streets, crowded with history. This tour includes a visit to
Table Mountain (weather permitting) and or Signal Hill as well as a visit to
Robben Island.
Included in all the "must - sees" of any Cape Town Day Tour, this option is a
geographical of culture extravaganza. Our drive to the City Culture takes you
past famous landmarks such as the centre of Good Hope built in 1666 by the Dutch
East Indian Company and City Hall, a baroque building and the Grand Parade.
As we follow Adderley Street, we will see St Georges Cathedral, the Anglican
Diocese of Desmond Tutu. We will pass the Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter
(also known as Bo Kaap). In the early 18th century, thousands of slaves were
brought to Cape Town and after slavery was abolished, their descendants settled
here.
Our route then leads us to Kloof Nek and up to Table Mountain. From here we will
ascend to the top by the revolving cable car. If the Table Mountain cable car is
not running due to bad weather, we will drive you up to the spectacular Signal
Hill view site overlooking Cape Town as an alternative. While on the mountain,
we'll see wild flowers, and marvel at a bird's eye view of the city and its
beaches. On a clear day it is even possible to see Robben Island on the one side
and Cape Point on the other. Descend from the Upper Cableway station we then
proceed around Table Bay to the V & A Waterfront for our trip to Robben Island.
Robben Island is the most famous, or infamous, for having been the isolated
prison of former SA Pres. Nelson Mandela and other political dissidents.

The Safari Day Tour
Itinerary
After an early morning departure we head up the N1 Highway through the
spectacular Hex River Valley and arrive at the Aquila Private Game Reserve. This
Game Reserve is the newest Reserve around - less than 2 hours drive from Cape
Town.
The bio-diverse habitat of the Reserve ensures plenty of interest for the avid
Game Viewers and Birder. Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Zebra, Rhino, Giraffe,
Ostrich, Baboon, Springbok, Black and Blue Wildebeest, Blesbok, Gemsbok, Duiker
as well as many other species of wild animals are found in the Reserve.
On arrival at the Game Reserve, we will enjoy breakfast and relax for a while.
After breakfast, an experienced Game Ranger will take you on a Game Drive which

4 Day Garden Route Tour
Itinerary
South Africa's Garden Route is all about Mountains and Oceans and both are
experienced in all their glory along the Garden Route. Criss-Cross between the
two via mountain passes into the hot dry Karoo and then bush down to the
temperate Coast. While travelling you will visit an Ostrich Farm, the Cango
Caves as well as a lengthy stop over in the village of Knysna, a community

Day 1
We depart Cape Town via the Du Toit's Kloof Mountain Pass on the way to

Lion, Cheetah, Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Bontebok,
Springbok and other Antelope, large and small, along with soaring eagles and
numerous species of birds. After the long drive we'll have dinner around the

Day 4
From here we will make our way to visit the ADDO Elephant Park to see these
large animals from only meters away. This park was established in 1931 and has
the highest concentration of Elephants in any park in the world. Besides

travel to Port Elizabeth for a short City Orientation Tour, before continuing to

We leave Stellenbosch after breakfast and travel along the N1, through the

semi desert but with Fruit- and Winefarms along the Breederiver. We can visit
some of the Wine Cellars and take part in tasting. Very soon we arrive in the
Ostrich Capital, Oudshoorn. We will visit an Ostrich Farm where you will learn
everything about this flightless bird. Dinner and overnight in Oudtshoorn.
Day 4
After visiting the Cango Caves and the Crocodile Farm, we will depart for our
next Wildlife Experience. We will travel in a valley known for its Apple Farms,
the Langkloof, until we join the N2 just before Port Elizabeth. One hour from
there, we will be in the Addo National Park. This Park was established in 1931
and has the highest concentration of Elephants in an park in the world! Besides
Elephants there are also Rhino and Buffalo and many Antelope. We'll have dinner
and spend the night at a lodge.
Day 5
After breakfast, we will do one last Game Drive before leaving the park and
making our way back towards Port Elizabeth. After a short City Tour, we will
continue along the N2 towards the Tsitsikamma Mountains. Very soon,we will be
surrounded by the Largest Indigenous Forest in South Africa. We stay at a hotel
at the foot of the mountains, surrounded by forests.
Day 6
This is where the heart of the Garden Route starts. We visit a very large, 800
year old Yellowood Tree, before turning off to Natures Valley, following the Old
National Road for a scenic drive. Flowers, ferns, beaches and mountains are our
companions. Before long we are in Plettenberg Bay, our premier holiday and beach
destination. It's a small town, beautifully situated on the bay of Formosa, as
the Portuguese called it 500 years ago. In the whaling season, June to October,
whales may be seen close to the beach. From here we continue, towards Knysna. In
Knysna we will visit the Knysna Quays, with its wonderful shops and restaurants.
A boat ride on the lagoon is included. Perhaps some oysters and Sparkling Wine
will go down well! Dinner and overnight in Knysna.
Day 7
After Breakfast, you will have some free time to walk down the streets of Knysna
for some last minute shopping. After this, you'll go on a short inspection of
the Railway Museum, from where we continue towards Mossel Bay. When the
Portuguese Seafarer, Bartolomeu Dias, searched for a route to India, it was here
where he landed after rounding the African Continent. In a museum, we can see a
replica of the boat in which he made the epic journey. From here we will do a
tour of this very popular town. Dinner and overnight in Mossel Bay.
Day 8
After breakfast we continue on the N2, past Riversdal and Swellendam before
turning off heading towards the coast again where we will come to the most
Southerly Point of the African Continent, Cape Aghulas. We visit the little
Fishing Village of Arniston, where you can see the original little Fisherman's
Cottages of the fishing folk. We overnight in Arniston.
Day 9
First we travel through the Wheat and Merino Sheep Farms of the Overberg, before
coming back to the coast at Hermanus. Enjoy a scenic coastal drive and
experience the Majestic Beauty of the Southern Right Whales basking in the warm
water, off the Hermanus Coastline. Observe these Whales a few meters from the
shore from the worlds most exciting Whale Watching Venue.
As we enter Hermanus, experience the feel of the energise of land, sea and the
Rainbow Culture of the Western Cape. Bond with the whales from this most
exciting land based whale watching venue in the world. These mammals, mere
meters from the shore, provide an unsurpassed whale watching opportunity between
July and November. After lunch you will have some free time to walk through this
beautiful town and do some shopping. Dinner and overnight in Hermanus.
Day 10
Leaving Hermanus after breakfast this tour takes you via Kleinmond along the
South Coast Road to Bettys Bay, Rooi Els, Cape Hangklip and Pringle Bay
overlooking the beautiful False Bay on your way to Gordons Bay. We'll visit the
Harold Punter Botanical Gardens while in Betty's Bay, which is a World Famous
Institution.
This route is also known as the Flower Route and in spring the mountain sides
are covered by Erica, Geraniums and Proteas. It is a very Spectacular Route,
with High Mountains on one side and the sea on the other.
We'll have lunch in Gordons Bay. After lunch, we continue with our journey
towards Cape Town in the afternoon.
